SAP1384 : Continuous ink-feed system for Epson for Epson Stylus C82

(The full Cartridge-Supersaver offer for Epson Stylus C82...more information)
(Back to printer)

Enables you to keep your printer permanently in ink – Ideal for heavy print jobs (Tee-shirt transfers, posters etc.)

New product – simpler, more professional, far more economical!

A very complete kit!
It comes with:
1 ink tank with 4 compartments (in fact the cyan and magenta fill 2 adjoining compartments) pigment ink for C82 and compatible printers. Ink quantities: Black 200 ml, cyan 175 ml, magenta 175 ml, yellow 140 ml.

The cartridge block is equipped with feed tubes and « yes chips » (these are chips that enable your cartridges to be permanently reset thus avoiding those never-ending driver messages about empty or incompatible cartridges).

An extremely coherent and illustrated user’s guide.

Manufactured by: Crab Chemical®

From an ecology point of view: any cartridge which is refilled between 5 and 20 times means between 5 and 20 fewer empty cartridges to dispose of and not to mention their packaging!

It also means enormous savings for you.

This system offers the equivalent of using 6 black cartridges (35ml) and 26 colour cartridges (18ml).

The system is designed to take 3 refills of Crab Chemical® pigment inks.
Caution! To benefit from the full extent of its lifespan, use only the Crab Chemical® ESN8 reference.

FAQ on the continuous ink-feed system.

Is it easy to set up?
Will it not damage my printer?
The set-up is extremely simple. You’ll need about a minute to understand how it works and 5 minutes to install it.

The printer requires no modification or meddling.

Has the system been benchtested?
Will it not damage my printer?
Yes. Installed and tested. We did a run of continuous printing over 2 days (2 x 8 hours) before leaving the printer to rest for 3 days. We then started testing again and did stints of about 8 hours a day for a week. We then switched the printer off for 9 days before doing a full day’s printing again …

We used the equivalent of 2 tanks of ink for each colour.

See the print test motif.

Will the driver allow this permanent ink flow?
What about cartridge change alerts?
In fact, the principal importance for the cartridge chips (although not for the consumer) is to declare a cartridge empty as quickly as possible thus keeping printing capacity down to a minimum.
As you most likely have noticed or understood, there is no level sensor in the cartridge itself. It is the driver that decides when you need to change the cartridge after a given number of printed pages. It is quite possible that when you receive an ink level alert there is still quite a bit of ink in the cartridge.

This cannot happen with the permanent feed system because the cartridges are fitted with “YesChips”. These chips reset themselves and even if you start a print job involving kilometres of paper, you will never get an ink alert or a print interruption.

Why use pigment inks?
In the first place your new printer is delivered with pigment inks.

Moreover, pigment inks have a longer lifespan. In contrast with tinted inks, pigments do not fade with time or from the effects of UV rays.

These inks are very well adapted to external use, photos, points of sale, posters and signposts etc. They are also excellent for transfers on fabrics of all kinds (light or dark). And they are perfectly adapted to our special inkjet self-adhesive vinyl product. (réf. : BVIN)

Let’s say, for example, that your job is to print fabrics, clothes, bags or small series of posters, then the permanent-feed system is exactly what you need!

Is the system really worth the investment?
Judge for yourself.
The printer comes with 1 x 200ml can of black ink and 490 ml of colour ink. This is equivalent to 28 colour cartridges and 6 black ink cartridges. The average retail price of these cartridges is about 15.95 Euros for colour and 36.90 Euros for the black (these are average prices based on brand products). The kit alone is equivalent to:
28 colour cartridges = 446,60 euros
6 black cartridges = 221,40 euros

That’s a total of 668,00 euros!

After that, the cartridges are refilled 3 times from your stock of loose ink.

A can of black pigment ink ESN8N is 250 ml – about 8 regular black cartridge refills = 295.20 Euros.

The three cans of colour pigment ESN8 make up about 750 ml or 42 regular colour cartridges = 669.90 Euros.

Which comes to 965.10 Euros worth of cartridges instead of just 420 Euros worth of ink.
